Today I want to share with you a glimpse into my life as an alternative practitioner. While I’m a medical intuitive in Melbourne, Australia, the practices I engage in are universal, resonating with those seeking a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, and they work without limitation of distance thanks to online video technologies such as Zoom or Whatsapp.
Morning Routine and Rituals
I rise early to perform my morning energy cleansing, which set the tone for the day. I start with some breath work and a short meditation; the quiet, the birds, and the subtle sounds of the city waking up offer a perfect backdrop for inner peace. This practice centers me, aligning my energy for the clients I’ll meet later. Following meditation, I do a short session of yin yoga, a practice that helps keep my nervous system relaxed as I release any tension from the previous day or night’s sleep. I have resisted yoga for so long as I struggle to be “still” but it has helped me tremendously to “surrender.”
I then look forward to my morning coffee while I check emails and and notifications. Some practitioners believe that coffee affects their ability to do the energy work, but for me, as long as I have organic mould free coffee and drink plenty of water, it is an ritual I enjoy without any side effects.
I check my Youtube channel and reply to any comments on our latest videos. While it has been very scary to put myself out there and I often cringe when I watch myself, I love interviewing and promoting other practitioners and discussing the exciting developments in the medical intuitive space. I have opted not to use any other social media for my business and while some believe it is essential to connect with their followers on Instagram, Tiktok or Facebook, I have found these platforms addictive and distracting for me and ultimately I choose to check my personal pages only once or twice a week.
Client Sessions
Today, I’m hosting a group meditation session on Zoom. Some of my clients are seeking relief from chronic pain, some are present for their spiritual hygiene. For the newcomers, I explain how energy works by channeling universal life energy through my body to promote energy healing. Each session is different; today, I feel the energy flow like and I feel quie expanded. At times it feels like I am floating and my arms move involuntarily. My clients experience many somatic reactions and my body vibrates and I feel chills throughout the session. I finish with my practice of using my heart chakra sound bowl to clear the energy and I always wash my hands and drink a lot of water with added minerals.
Lunch Break
I love being surrounded by so many beautiful parks in Melbourne. Weather permitting, I often take a moment to ground myself by walking through Carlton Gardens. The greenery, the grass, it all helps me reconnect with nature, which is so integral to my practice. If time permits I will drive to the beach and have a quick swim as the ocean is very grounding and clears anything I might have not cleared from the morning session. I usually have a light meal, organic produce if possible, focusing on foods that nourish the body and give me energy. I find my sessions are more efficient if I eat light meals.

Afternoon Workshops
After doing the school run and preparing dinner, the early evening is usually reserved for individual sessions for clients from European time zones or my Australian clients. Today, I am in collaboration with a UK based colleague: I’m conducting an online workshop on angelic healing with Amy Elizabeth, a gifted medical intuitive I met in my mentorship program. We share the same passions and know the energy is amplified with two people present for the clients.
In Melbourne’s eclectic wellness scene, there’s a keen interest in learning how different energy signatures or frequencies can aid in emotional and physical healing. We guide participants through channeling, cleansing, and reprogramming their mindset. It’s a joy to see the curiosity and the light of understanding in their eyes and also the intense somatic experiences and spontaneous changes in some of them!
Evening Reflections
As the sun sets, I reflect on the day’s work. I like to journal my experiences, thoughts on energy-treatments, and any intuitive insights I’ve gained or note down any channelled messages my clients or colleagues might have shared with me. This practice not only helps me to decompress but also to refine my techniques.
I end my day connecting with my family and enjoying a meal together. I am normally very hungry after the energy work and I prepare foods that are very grounding: root vegetables, pasture fed beef, wild caught fish and of course, some chocolate with a cup of herbal tea.
Evening Practice
Before bed, I like to have an epsom salt bath and engage in a bit of sound healing for myself (I love listening to Ashana, video below). The vibrations from my singing bowls help clear the day’s energies, ensuring I’m at peace before sleep. I try to put my phone down and read the huge collection of books on my side table and I fall asleep pretty quickly!
I have found through trial and error that if I am very disciplined with self-care, I am at peak energy for my clients and family. The days that I rush around too much and don’t leave time for the important strategies that help my nervous system, I am not at my best for anyone and, over time I can get sick.
As an alternative practitioner in Melbourne, each day is a journey into the realms of healing, learning, and community engagement. It’s about more than just the therapies; it’s about fostering a lifestyle that supports growth, health, and harmony. Thank you for joining me in this exploration of my daily life. Here’s to your health, and may your journey in alternative healing be as enriching as mine.
I hope this glimpse into my life inspires you to explore the vast world of alternative practices, whether you’re in Melbourne or anywhere else in the world.
Much love and health,
Peggy x
